Front Garden Nearly Finished!

We moved into a lovely 3 bed house in Horden,Durham the beginning of last month.
The back garden is a state, it broken concrete slabs here and there & weeds growing everywhere. So Mr.B went out last week and chopped down the weeds and put some weed killer on them, "that should do the trick for now"!

The front garden wasn't too bad, the grass just needed a basic trim down and so did the lovely little trees/bushes.

Considering the sun wanted to make an appearance today Mr.B decided he was getting the front garden sorted first thing this morning. We ended up taking a trip to Asda to buy some bags of wood chip, they were on offer 3 for £10 "bargain"! So we bought 6 of them, the poor car was weighed down on the way home!

Alesha was over the moon that she was 'finally' allowed out to play in the front garden with her slide and other toys.
Still a few bits here and there to do to it but it's safe enough now for her to play in.
Now it's just the dreaded back garden to make a start on, think we will leave that for a while haha!

Family Visit To Dewsbury

Upside sunglasses is fashion lol!
Yesterday we got up nice and early at 7.00am, me and Mr.B were both up before Alesha, "that makes a change"!

We were up nice and early to we get the house cleaned and sandwich's made for our 1 1/2 hour car journey to Dewsbury.

Some of Mr. B's family live in Dewsbury, his cousin is leaving next week to move to Australia, so Mr.B really wanted to try get down to see him before he left on his travels.

Alesha was very well behaved, no wee accident's in the car. She informed me and her daddy when she needed the toilet, so we pulled into the next service station, so proud of her!

Alesha was happy when we got to Dewsbury because Mr.B's cousin has 4 children (1whom is leaving to go Australia) and the youngest is a girl a little bit older than Alesha.
The 2 of them were happily playing out in the big beautiful doll's house in the back garden.

Mr.B's cousin was trying to find a very old video of him when he was a little baby to show me, she was sat for ages going through loads of VCR's but it wasn't one of the many she tried, she was so determined though bless her, a lovely woman!
Me & bump at 27weeks
We all had a lovely day, the sunshine was out and Mr.B got to say his goodbye to his cousin, so that was good.

On the way back home it didn't take Alesha long to fall asleep in her carseat holding onto her baby.
Fast asleep on the way home

Start4Life supporting mums-to-be and new parents‏

With so much information and advice around, it can be difficult for parents-to-be to know what to do for the best, so a Start4Life team of medical experts, midwives and health visitors has pulled together the essential information, to help new parents focus on the most important things they can do to improve their health and that of their baby. This information can be found on the Start4Life website and also focuses on mothers cutting out risky health behaviours like smoking and drinking too much during pregnancy.

Recent stats show that:
  • one in 10 continue smoking throughout pregnancy – though it significantly increases the risk of stillbirth, cot death or lung problems;
  • almost one in 10 drink more than the recommended lower-risk pregnancy guidelines - increasing the risk of miscarriage or still birth and stunting growth; and
  • one in six are obese – despite potential for a more difficult pregnancy, riskier birth and a less healthy baby.

Rainy Day At Home Making Rice Crispy Cakes

Nothing better than staying in home all day, having fun making Rice Crispy cakes!
Alesha loves to help out in the kitchen, whether it's a help in hand washing the dishes or even pouring some pasta into a saucepan, it always put's a smile on her face after she has done her job and got plenty of praise from me and her daddy.

It's been a long time since I made some Rice Crispy cakes so considering we had the stuff in the cupboards I decided we would get messy in the kitchen!
Alesha had a different plan though, her plan was to let mummy spoon the majority of the mixture into the cases while she used her spoon to dig deep into the bowl for a big spoonful and then they went into her mouth instead of the cases, "little madam"!

In the meantime Mr.B got busy with the camera and took a few snaps of us in the action.

Fun Photo Friday!

This photo has made me smile this week because we spent a while walking about shops & then when it was time to get back into the car, I asked her if she was tired, her reply was "no mummy I'm not tired"!
5 minutes into the journey home and guess what? She was fast asleep!

Pregnancy: Week 26

The last few days have flown by!

It's seems unreal to think that I have only 14 more weeks to go until due date, I better start handing some pennies over for baby stuff.

By this stage with Alesha we had bought tons of stuff, but so far with this pregnancy we have only bought a few outfits for 0-3 & 3-6, plus a crib and bumbo seat. We have also got the bouncer chair which Alesha used so going to re-use that again, it will save us handing over some pennies for a new one.
"Every penny count's"!

I have decided to be very brave and go to the Aqua-natal session next week at my local swimming pool.
Let's hope there isn't too much madness involved because I can't swim, it's a scary fear of mine that I'm pleased hasn't rubbed off on Alesha, she is a total water baby, just like her daddy!

One thing for sure is I won't be seen in a bikini again because my stomach is quite hairy, very noticeable because their dark hair's.
It's my own fault because in my early teens I remember seeing a little hair around my belly button so silly me decided to shaving my stomach and ever since they hair growth has got worse, very embarrassing!
