Half way there!
With age-appropriate toddler beds designed to ensure the transition from cot to bed runs as smoothly as possible, and complementary bedroom furniture to complete the look, both the StarBright and BearHug range have been developed to inspire parents with creative kids’ bedroom ideas. Offering fresh design for modern families, the neutral colour palette makes the ranges perfect for both little girls and boys.

To help provide inspiration, HelloHome has teamed up with interior designer, Leah Hughes (of Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover fame), who’s compiled her favourite pieces from this season, along with hints and tips to transform kids’ bedrooms. So if you are looking to revitalise your little one’s bedroom on a budget this season, then head over to the website to be inspired.

We were kindly given the opportunity to choose a product from the new spring/summer collection, after some consideration we went for the BearHug Desk.
With us giving all the bedrooms a makeover we were going to put the new desk up into the girls bedroom as it would of looked lovely with it being the same colour scheme of their bedroom. But then we thought that would be a bad idea incase they got abit too creative with their crayons during the night or early in the morning when we wouldn't be in the room to see (we do use of brains sometimes haha). It would be some shock to go into their room the following morning to scribbles all over the white walls ekkk!

The beautiful desk has found a lovely spot within the living room, therefore it will get used quite often and people will be able to see the stylish desk when they come into our home.
Alesha & Alana
The desk came flat packed in a cardboard box which was wrapped in plastic so there was no way of rain getting into it and making the cardboard go all wet and soggy.
Brandon had no problem at all putting the desk together, even with 'little legs' Alana trying to run off with parts here and there! In total it took just under 5 minutes to put together without a hassle it was as easy as abc.

Alana couldn't wait to try it out before her big sister Aleha got home from school. She looked so cute sat on the little seat placing her crayons into the rubber pot holders. The desk reminded me of an old fashioned school desks from years ago, but however this desk was much more stylish in colour and in design.
I really like how it's wooden and not a cheap plastic desk which would get broken and ruined in no time at all! The bear design is beautiful, it's very eye catching especially for the younger eyes who like to ask questions about the type of animal it is etc.
Both Alesha and Alana liked to show us where the eyes on the desk were and also said the rubber pot holders were the bears ears, they found that quite amusing that the bear had pots for ears!

HelloHome BearHug Desk - creative kids will love the HelloHome BearHug Desk. With in-built pen pots, your little ones can sit up and start scribbling straight away. RRP £49.99.

The stylish new HelloHome StarBright and HelloHome BearHug products are available from Argos, Very.co.uk, and Amazon, which complement the existing toddler and junior furniture ranges that include licenses such as Peppa Pig, Thomas the Tank Engine and popular Disney characters.

20 Week Baby Girl Scan Photo & 22 Week Bump Photo

The time seems to be flying by now, hard to believe I'm already 22 weeks pregnant.
Thankfully my morning sickness has slowly started to ease off, it's now only every other morning I get sick "hooray"!

We found out at our 20 week scan that were having a baby girl. This little bundle of joy will be my 3rd daughter and mine and Brandons 1st child together (even though he classes Alesha & Alana as his own).

Ice-Cream With Cookie Biscuit

The girls have been very good lately, besides the odd argument over who owns what toy and who is playing with what. They both have totally different types of personality, Alesha is the eldest and is more laid back but likes to talk alot, whereas Alana is the young wild child that hasn't got a care in the world and loves to torment Alesha.
After they ate all their tea last night I decided to get a little adventurous with their desert. The few scoops of vanilla ice-cream looked abit lonely in the bowl so I got a cookie from the jar and crumpled it over the ice-cream.
When I brought the bowls into the girls their response was "wow mummy this looks yummy, what is it"? It tasted as good as it looked, and got the thumbs up from both girls so I'll definitely be giving them that again especially once summer arrives.

Mothers Day Angelic Rose Cupcake Recipe

Angelic Rose Cupcakes

Preparation time: 25 minutes plus cooling and setting
Cooking time: 15 minutes

12 Dr. Oetker Fun Baking Cases
4 sachets Dr. Oetker Egg White Powder
1 sachet (1 tsp) Dr. Oetker Cream of Tartar
75g (3oz) caster sugar
50g (2oz) plain flour
5ml (1 tsp) Rose Flavour
100g (3 ½ oz) reduced sugar strawberry jam

To decorate:
100g (3 ½ oz) icing sugar
Dr. Oetker Hot Pink Gel Food Colour
fresh rose petals
1 sachet Dr. Oetker Egg White Powder
50g (2oz) caster sugar

Method:

1.     Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C Fan, Gas Mark 4). Line a fairy cake tin with 12 Fun Baking Cases.
2.     Make up the Egg White Powder as directed on the packet. Add the Cream of Tartar and whisk until stiff. Gradually whisk in the sugar to make a light and fluffy meringue.  Add the Rose Flavour.
 1.     In batches, sift and gently fold the flour into the meringue until well combined, trying to keep the mixture as light and fluffy as possible.

2.     Spoon the mixture into the Baking Cases to fill them and bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until risen, lightly golden and springy to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

3.     Using a small spoon, scoop out a piece of sponge from the centre of each cake and fill with jam. Put the scooped out piece of cake back on the top.

4.     To frost the rose petals, make up 1 sachet Dr. Oetker Egg White Powder and lightly whisk. Using a paint brush, lightly brush individual fresh rose petals with the Egg White. Shake well to remove the excess Egg White then dip in caster sugar. Leave in a warm, dry place for a few minutes until the petals become dry and crusted in sugar.

5.     5. To decorate, sift the icing sugar into a bowl. Gradually mix in approx. 15ml (1 tbsp) warm water to make a smooth, spreadable icing. Mix in a few drops of Hot Pink Gel Food Colour to make a pretty pastel shade.

6.     6. Carefully spread a little icing over each cake. Allow to set for a few minutes before decorating with sugared rose petals. Your cakes are now ready to serve and enjoy.

Mr Ridden Is One Step Closer To Becoming A Fireman

Morning Selfie
My lovely other half has been working in a factory for over 7 years and has always wanted to get out of that job and work somewhere he enjoys but it's never easy getting what you want!

2 years ago he spent a couple of of grand doing a riggering course and was told at the end of it he would find it very hard to get a job unless he handed over another few grand to do the level 2 but it didn't want to chance it.
Since then he has been applying for onshore and offshore riggering jobs, just on the off chance that an employer out there somewhere is looking for a level 1 rigger. Sadly he has got no-where but luckily still working in the factory which is actually could money but just not an enjoyable job.
A few weeks ago his cousins boyfriend (who works as a fireman) told him that the fire company are looking to employ fireman with or without experience, so Mr.Ridden jumped at the chance right away and filled out the application online.
Since then he had a few assessments to do, mostly questionnaires online which he passed. Then last week he had to travel to Middlesbrough to do a fitness assessment which lasted 2 hours.
I was shocked when he arrived home as his face was as red as a beetroot, never seen him so flushed and worn out like that before, you wouldn't think that he goes gym and plays football haha!

Today, he got an email to say he passed the fitness test and now the final stage is to be interviewed, so fingers crossed he does good at the interview stage and then my other half will be a sexy fire man "o lala"! So proud of him, he is an amazing father and an ideal role model to the kids.

My Football Success - Written By Mr.R

I have recently started enjoying my football alot more since both my teams have started enjoying success.
On a Saturday I play in defence for Murton AFC in the Durham Alliance League. When I first signed it was a struggle for our team to get results to go our way which seen our team drop down the league, but after a few changes in management and players we finally have a stable squad which have heart and determination. Even when we struggle for a squad due to players being injured or at work the team still show the never say die attitude to grind out results. Since our new manager has came in we are unbeaten in both the league and cup and have reached the semi-final in the Mark Blake Memorial Trophy and hopefully go on to reach the final and lift the trophy.

On a Sunday I play in defence for Avenue in the Hartlepool Sunday morning league and we have been enjoying success all season winning nearly all of our games and already claimed the Division 1 title and promotion the the premier league.
We are also still in 1 or 2 cups and were unfortunately knocked out of another against a team for the division above us but we put up a fight and ended up coming out in a 3-2 defeat but still hold our heads high and push on to try and win the rest of the trophies available.

Football is a sport I really enjoying playing in my spare time.

Alesha Is Now A Proud Owner Of A Pair Of Glasses

I never really suspected that Alesha needed a pair of glasses as her eye sight looked okay to make and she never complained of headache or sore eyes etc, but seen as thought I was booking myself in for an eye test check I decided to also make an appointment for Alesha.
She really enjoyed getting her eyes tested and was very well behaved, I was so proud.
The end result was she needed to wear glasses full-time and has to go back in 3 months time for a check up to see if the glasses are making any improvement to her eye sight.

Yesterday was her first day at school wearing them, she happily went in no bother she was really excited to show her friends and teacher while me on the other hand I was nervous incase other children bullied her etc.
She came home and said her friends and her teacher liked her glasses, hearing that made me relax abit more and therefore I haven't worried as much today.
